Tuesday 10am-1pm -Painting & Composition with Inez Hollander
Develop your painting skills through this intensive class with artist Inez Hollander. Class focuses on the importance of composition but also touches on color theory and mixing, space, form, and shape, working from still life, figure, imagination, or abstraction. Lectures and demonstrations cover styles and methods that have been used by master painters, traditional and contemporary. Students may work in any water-soluble media (acrylic paint, watercolor paint, water soluble oil paint, or collage). Group and individual critiques help students articulate their creative challenges and strengths. Beginner to advanced painters welcomed. $140/4 classes or $40/class Wednesday 10am-1pm - Life Drawing with Model, No instruction Our new model Kathryn brings joy and creativity to modeling. A delight to work with, her modeling skill enhances the creation of artistically representing a Live Model in various length poses. This session is suitable for artists who choose to only do portraits or whole body sketches, in the medium of your choice. Easels and drawing tables are at the studio; bring your own materials. 3 hour session, $20. Thursday 10am-1pm -Instructed Studio with Lazaro Amaral This class promotes an understanding of the creative process and investigation of some essential art skills. Students of different specializations ranging from traditional painting study to contemporary art will strengthen the artist’s skill and confidence, guiding each student to produce final original masterpieces. Students can plan their projects and have productive outcomes. Bring your supplies and creative ideas for these 3 hours of production blast where students go beyond what they imagined they could accomplish! $140/4 classes or $40/class Evening & Weekend Classes Sundays 10am - 1pm - Critiques w/ Tony Coro This class provides each student an opportunity to bring to class personal works in progress and receive to continue working on with the guidance and expertise of the Instructor in the areas of composition, color, handling of the subject matter and technique. $70 for 2 sessions/month or $40/class Wednesday 7pm - 9pm - "Back to Basics" w/ Will McGaul No Art School Background? No problem! Learn the basics of composition, color, handling of the subject matter and technique in clearly presented lectures & demos and then in-class practice. $140/4 classes or $40/class Friday 6pm - 9pm - Open Studio Students work individually on personal projects Miami Art League provides easels & drawing tables. Artists bring own supplies! |
