Portrait Workshop (from the live model)
Tuesdays 7pm-9pm (August 13th- Sept 3rd)
In this workshop students will draw a portrait from a live model with guided instruction and learn how to construct and create a realistic portrait. The Instructor will go over several artistic principles and concepts crucial in portraiture as well as general anatomy of the skull and muscles of the face.
Also, students will learn the importance of not only capturing a sitters likeness, but their emotion and character as well. The Instructor will give critiques to each student throughout the duration of the workshop, do a short demo and show various examples of famous portraits throughout history as well as over the proper use of various materials and tools.
